St Mary’s DSG was founded in 1879 by the Rt Revd Henry Bousfield, the first Bishop of Pretoria. For 75 years of its existence the school was run by the nuns of the Community of St Mary the Virgin. St Mary’s DSG has a deep sense of tradition and core of values. Today, over 850 girls from Grades 0 to 12 attend classes. Highly-qualified teaching staff cater for the needs of each individual, while pursuing the academic, spiritual, moral, cultural and physical development of every girl. A wide range of academic subjects is offered. St Mary’s DSG regularly has girls placed in the "Outstanding" category of the IEB NSC results, and has had a 100% pass rate for over two decades. The school has a pastoral team of chaplain, educational psychologist, careers specialist, tutors and grade heads. The main sports on offer are: swimming, basketball, netball, hockey, squash and tennis. The school has choirs, a chamber orchestra and other ensembles. A number of clubs and societies operate at the school. The boarding house of 170 pupils accommodates pupils based locally and from many countries in Africa and abroad. == Notes and references== * 抄文引用元・出典: フリー百科事典『 ウィキペディア(Wikipedia)』 ■ウィキペディアで「St. Mary's Diocesan School for Girls, Pretoria」の詳細全文を読む スポンサード リンク
